Applied Systems was founded in 1980 by Robert Eustace with the idea of creating an automated system for his insurance agency using inexpensive PC's and emerging database technology.

Soon after the introduction of "The Agency Manager" in 1983, a national users group was formed to provide such users with information and support in the use of Agency Manager Software.

ASCnet is an active and thriving international association with over 5,000 members representing over 64,000 users. The Users Group has members across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and the Caribbean.
